Bio
Adriana Gordillo is a Colombian poet, mixed media artist, and Spanish educator based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She has published two poetry books, El tiempo al revés (2025) and Hereticum (2024). Her poetry has also been published in Latin American and U.S. magazines. She was awarded the Victoria Urbano Poetry Prize (USA) in 2011 and Voces nuevas (Spain) in 2014. Adriana's visual art, which she creates using multiple mediums, explores the construction of memory by examining body images that blur and recombine to reinvent the present.
Adriana's work has been exhibited in Latinx MN: Re/claiming Space in Time of Change at Murphy Gallery, MN (2024), Art & Memory Conference at South Texas College, TX (2024), the Art Show Competition (Finalist) at the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community in Wyoming, MN (2018), and the Paradise Center for the Arts Healing Arts Gallery at District One Hospital, Faribault, MN. Her academic work revolves around mythology, the monstrous, and the intersection between art, memory, and otherness.
Adriana Gordillo es una poeta colombiana, artista de medios mixtos y profesora de español residente en Saint Paul, Minnesota. Ha publicado dos libros de poesía, El tiempo al revés (2025) y Hereticum (2024). Su poesía también ha sido publicada en revistas latinoamericanas y estadounidenses. Fue galardonada con el Premio de Poesía Victoria Urbano (EEUU) en 2011 y Voces nuevas (España) en 2014. El arte visual de Adriana, elaborado a partir de múltiples medios, explora la construcción de la memoria examinando imágenes corporales que se desdibujan y recombinan para reinventar el presente.
